Many thanks to you Felicity.........there was so much to explore and now to follow up on. I had heard of some of the sites, but as my namesake implies I have been very hesitant to " try" and get on board this rapidly changing technological era!!!!!!! Thanks again.

Once again wow! Looked at the reading room...this was very good, also booktopia and the project Gutenberg and LibriVox..........a great resource for teachers and so many books for free. Will follow up with these in the future.

#21 UTUBE and TEACHERTUBE

Got onto teachervision....had to get pass a lot of adds!! Looked up lots of classroom resources eg Halloween, health, xmas and environmental sciences. So much to look at. Classroom blogs are already happening at our school.....just not in my room!!

Looked at a few sites...got onto the education podcast network and saw some for "teaching with the smartboard" will follow that one up. Checked out podscope but had difficulty writing a phrase that got me in.......found a lot of yanky stuff! Listened to some on pet care and health, also Indian cooking which was great as we just had curried prawns for dinner that my darling made! The ABC site was good...listened to some health talks. All in all a great site to follow up on.

Once again so many things to look at. I could not believe it can be edited by anyone...is that good? Who has been writing this info/ How informed are they? Can the general public get the wrong info?
It looks good for the initial info that children might need......it is so easy to access and good for links between home and school on related matters.

An IT person had mentioned this site to me ages ago but I had not got around to exploring it. Like all the other sites we have been asked to explore..........it is mind boggling! I bookmarked a couple of sites but then found a site on Diigo about researching your family history which I will do after I finish this course!!!!!!!
