Once again so many things to look at. I could not believe it can be edited by anyone...is that good? Who has been writing this info/ How informed are they? Can the general public get the wrong info?
It looks good for the initial info that children might need......it is so easy to access and good for links between home and school on related matters.
Hmmm well it all depends on your opinion. I am a huuuge fan of wikipedia because it really encourages shared knowledge and it doesn't make a profit! It is now the world's largest encyclopedia ever with over 18 million articles! (The previous record was held by Yongle a chinese encyclopedia made in the ming dynasty and that only had about 2000 articles) I know a lot of people are sceptical of the accuracy of wikipedia but I like to remind them that it is very difficult firstly to post a bogus article, it has to be verified by two sources and have at least two references and secondly to alter information incorrectly because for every person out there defacing the articles there are 100 fixing and editing them back.
